Jammu, May 28, 2025: To bolster regional tourism and express solidarity with both armed forces personnel and the civilian population, the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, has initiated a series of visits by prominent personalities, commencing across the Jammu division. Renowned Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi spearheaded this endeavor, arriving in Jammu to offer her support and reinforce messages of peace, resilience, and optimism for the region.
Her itinerary included an exclusive interactive session with key stakeholders representing the Hotel and Restaurant Associations of Jammu and Katra. During this meeting, association members earnestly appealed to Ms. Qureshi to leverage her public platforms and personal influence to promote Jammu’s scenic attractions, renowned hospitality, and rich cultural tapestry. They underscored the significant impact celebrity endorsements can have in restoring tourist confidence and stimulating visitor numbers.
Demonstrating profound empathy, the actress also paid a visit to the family of the late Raj Kumar Thapa, who served as the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Rajouri and tragically lost his life in a recent attack.
