Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu hosts expert lecture on solar, green energy technologies

JAMMU, Sept 19: The Electrical Department of Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu organized an expert lecture on “Emerging Technologies in Solar and Green Energy” for students, with the objective of enhancing their understanding of the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.
The programme was held under the guidance of Principal Er. Neelanjana Manwati and coordinated by Ms. Madhvi from the Electrical Department.
The session commenced with a warm welcome to the resource person, Er. Loveneesh Talwar, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, YCET, Jammu. The Principal presented a bouquet to the visiting expert as a token of respect and appreciation.
Addressing the students, Er. Neelanjana Manwati highlighted the growing relevance of clean and sustainable energy technologies and encouraged students to continuously upgrade their technical skills and explore emerging career opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
During the technical session, Er. Loveneesh Talwar provided students with valuable practical insights into renewable energy systems, with particular emphasis on emerging technologies, recent advancements and future trends in solar and green energy. The interactive session enabled students to gain a better understanding of the practical applications and growing industrial potential of sustainable engineering solutions.
The programme concluded with a valedictory address by Er. Desraj, In-charge, Electrical Engineering Department, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, Principal, faculty members and students for their active participation and contribution towards making the programme successful.
The lecture provided students with meaningful exposure to the rapidly expanding field of renewable energy and reinforced the institution’s efforts towards industry-oriented technical education.
