Rajouri’s Nandani Sharma Represents J&K at National Meet, Pledges Support to Vriksh Mitra Abhiyan

Jammu/New Delhi, July 17: In a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir, Miss Nandani Sharma from the border district of Rajouri represented the Union Territory at the National Social Media Influencers Meet organised under the Vriksh Mitra Abhiyan by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (Pusa), New Delhi.
During the event, Nandani Sharma interacted with Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India for launching an innovative initiative that seeks to harness the influence of digital creators to promote environmental conservation and transform tree plantation into a nationwide people’s movement.
Appreciating the Union Minister’s vision of “Amplifying Digital Voices for a Greener Tomorrow,” she said social media has become a powerful tool for creating awareness and inspiring positive social change. She highlighted that afforestation is crucial for increasing green cover, improving oxygen availability, conserving biodiversity, and mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.
Nandani thanked the Government of India for providing her with the opportunity to represent Jammu & Kashmir on such a prestigious national platform and for recognising the role of young digital creators in nation-building and environmental awareness.
Representing the aspirations of the Pir Panjal region, she conveyed her gratitude to Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on behalf of the people of the region and assured him of her wholehearted support in promoting the Vriksh Mitra Abhiyan through her digital platforms. She pledged to motivate young people to actively participate in tree plantation drives, adopt environmentally responsible practices, and contribute towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable India.
Expressing confidence in the power of youth-led initiatives, Nandani said that when the youth of the nation unite for environmental conservation, tree plantation can evolve into a true mass movement, inspiring every household to become a partner in protecting nature and securing a greener future for generations to come.
