JAMMU: Amid ongoing protests over reservation policies in Jammu, social activist Parvinder Singh has appealed to all stakeholders to maintain restraint and avoid personal or inflammatory remarks.
Singh urged the government to constitute a high-powered committee of retired judges, educationists and experts to examine the reservation system, including concerns of the EWS and other sections, in an objective manner.
He said the issue should be addressed through dialogue and constitutional mechanisms, keeping in view the principles of equality, social justice and the constitutional vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
Singh also appealed to all communities to maintain mutual respect and ensure that the reservation debate does not create social divisions.
