Rajouri, February 8: If sources are to be believed, the Pakistan army after the 2021 ceasefire agreement opened fire on an Indian Army’s patrol party in Keri sector of Rajouri district on Saturday.
However, official sources have not clarified whether the fire was initiated by the Pakistan Army or by the terrorists who made an unsuccessful attempt to infiltrate to this side of LoC.
The incident took place in Baratgala area under the jurisdiction of Chingus police post (Rajouri police station) at about 12.30 pm.
No loss of life or property was reported from the spot. Sources added Indian Army retaliated the fire and the situation is under watch.
For the last few days several incidents have been reported along LoC in both the border districts of Rajouri & Poonch.
On January 30 2 terrorists were killed on the Line of Control in Poonch district.
On February 1, simultaneous joint anti-terror operations were launched by CRPF, Army & police in Mankot, Balakot and Surankote areas in Poonch district.
