New Sports Block for Degree College Nowshera; Dy CM laid foundation stone

Sports Block will be constructed with project cost of Rs 208.50 Lakh.

Rajouri, January 31: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary during his visit to his home constituency laid the foundation stone for Sports Block at Government Degree College, Nowshera to be established with a n estimated cost of Rs 208.50 lakh.
The aim behind this important project is to enhance sports infrastructure and provide better facilities for students and aspiring athletes in the Rajouri border district.
The Deputy CM was accompanied by Additional DDC Rajouri, DrRaj Kumar Thapa; Additional DC Nowshera, Babu Ram Tandon; and other district and sectoral officers.
“The government is committed to promote sports and physical fitness among the youth. The new Sports Block would provide modern training facilities and encourage students to actively participate in various sports disciplines,” said Surinder Choudhary.
Surinder Choudhary exhorted upon the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the project while maintaining high standards of construction.
He reiterated administration’s resolve to develop robust sports infrastructure in the region, fostering a culture of health, fitness and excellence in sports.
highlighted the importance of such infrastructure in nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and residents, who welcomed the government’s focus on strengthening sports facilities in educational institutions.
