Akhnoor, Bruta Mandi – The 700th birth anniversary of Baba Lal Ji was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at Baba Lal Ji Temple, Bruta Mandi, Akhnoor. Thousands of devotees gathered to participate in the grand event, which was marked by religious ceremonies, devotional music, and community service.Preparations for this auspicious occasion had been underway for several days. The temple premises were thoroughly cleaned and beautifully decorated with flowers, lights, and traditional embellishments, creating a divine and serene atmosphere for devotees.
The celebrations commenced in the morning with a Havan Yajna, where devotees offered prayers and sought blessings from Baba Lal Ji. This was followed by an all-day Satsang, where the air resonated with devotional songs and hymns. The devotees expressed their reverence through singing and dancing to bhajans, making the occasion truly spiritual and joyous.
As part of the celebrations, Team Hari Mandir Shiv Ghat Akhnoor organized a free medical camp, providing essential healthcare services to attendees. Key members present at the camp included Tarsem Dogra, Rahul Dogra, Kuldeep Sharma, Raman Billa, Nitish Abrol, Ashok Kumar, and Ashok Verma. The initiative ensured that devotees received free medical consultations and medicines, reinforcing the spirit of selfless service.
Later in the day, a Kanjak Poojan ceremony was conducted, where young girls were worshipped as embodiments of divine energy. This was followed by the distribution of Prasad to all devotees, fostering a sense of community and devotion.
Temple Committee President Madan Kapoor shared insights into Baba Lal Ji’s spiritual legacy, highlighting that his idol was installed in Akhnoor in 2011. Since then, his birth anniversary has been celebrated with immense devotion and fervor every year.
The event was meticulously organized by the Temple Committee, with active participation from President Madan Kapoor, Treasurer Vijay Kumar, Ramesh Bhatia, Gulshan Bhatia, Naresh Anand, Gopal Sharma, Savarn Singh Manhas, Sat Pal Sharma, and Jugal Kishore. Their dedicated efforts ensured the seamless execution of this grand celebration.
