Mohd Aslam’s wife hospitalized: HM constitute inter-Ministerial experts’ team to investigate deaths

Mohd Aslam has lost 5 children, maternal uncle & aunty during last 6 days
Administration, health authorities faced a tough time to shift Aslam’s wife to Rajouri.

In another shocking report Shakia Begam wife of Mohd Aslam-who have lost 5 children, maternal uncle and his wife since January 12 to unidentified disease- developed symptoms like fever, sweating etc was immediately shifted to Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) Rajouri for further treatment & management.
It is pertinent to mention here that after losing five children and maternal uncle & aunty, Mohd Aslam has expressed his resentment over treatments related to this unidentified disease in various hospitals.
“Most among those who were admitted and treated in the hospitals have died. However, those who managed to get themselves discharged are in good health in Badhaal area” he said.hospital
Aslam was not ready to send his wife to the hospital. After day-long persuasion by Additional DC (Koteranka), CMO Rajouri and other doctors, he agreed to shift his wife at about 8 pm on Saturday.
“Wife of Mohd Aslam after symptoms of fever, sweating shifted to Rajouri for CT SCAN and other tests. After CT SCAN report, if required treatment, the family was given an option to decide whether to get treatment at Rajouri or Jammu” said CMO.
Meanwhile, amid a panic situation in the remote Badhaal area in Rajouri district over the 16 mysterious deaths during the last 41 days, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered an inter-ministerial team to ascertain the causes of deaths.
The Home Ministry’s statement reads: “The team will consist of experts from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Ministry of Water Resources.
It will also be assisted by experts from animal husbandry, food safety and forensic science labs,”.
MHA said that the team will leave for Rajouri on January 19 and in collaboration with the local administration would also work on providing immediate relief as well as taking precautionary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
“Experts from some of the most reputed institutions of the country have been arranged to manage the situation and understand the causative factors of deaths,” said MHA.
On December 7 one Mohd Fazal Hussain and his daughter, residents of Badhaal became the first victims of still unidentified disease and within the next two days Fazal’s three children also succumbed to this disease.
On December 12, three children of Mohd Rafiq of the same village succumbed to unidentified disease and on December 23 his wife also died in GMC Rajouri.
Again on January 12, six children of Mohd Aslam, brother-in-law (Jija) of late Fazal Hussain developed symptoms like fever, sweating, vomiting, dehydration etc and were rushed to GMC Jammu where 5 have succumbed to mysterious disease.
On January 13, maternal uncle of late Fazal Hussain namely Mohd Yousuf (62) and on January 16 his wife Jatti Begam (60) also succumbed to unidentified disease taking the death toll in Badhaal village to 16.
