Crackdown against illegal mining: Nowshera police seizes 2 Excavators

Rajouri, Jan 12: Under its ongoing strides against illegal mining in the district, district police Rajouri in a major move seized two excavators involved in illegal mining under Nowshera police station jurisdiction.
Police said that the owners/drivers of the seized excavators involved in illegal mining had no proper authorisation/permission from competent authorities. The seizure was made during a special drive conducted to handle the unauthorised
extraction of minerals by a police team headed by in-charge of Lamberi police post.
The seized machinery includes one Poclain Excavator (JS205LC) and one JCB Excavator.
This significant action underscores the commitment of Rajouri Police to curb illegal mining activities.
The Police authorities have emphasized that stringent measures will continue to be taken against individuals engaged in such unlawful practices.
