Inspection’s aimed at assessing patient care services/to ensure quality healthcare to people: CMO

Rajouri, November 10: In a determined effort to ensure round-the-clock high-quality healthcare for people and to ensure round-the-clock medical preparedness, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, Dr M L Rana conducted an unscheduled late-night inspections of sub-district hospitals at Nowshera and Sunderbani on Sunday (November 10).
“The visit aimed to assess the hospital’s emergency response capabilities, staffing, and overall healthcare infrastructure during off-hours,” said CMO, Dr M.L. Rana.
He said that the late-night inspections of the sub-district hospitals at Sunderbani and Nowshera were conducted to assess the hospital’s functioning, availability of staff and the quality of healthcare services delivery.
During the inspection, Dr Rana along with respective BMOs evaluated various sections, emergency services and wards, including the OPD, Labour Room, Operation Theatre, laboratories, X-Ray and ECG sections.
He interacted directly with patients and their attendants to receive first hand feedback on the quality of medical services being provided to the residents of the area.
CMO, Dr Rana also reviewed overall cleanliness of Hospitals , availability of medical facilities, staff presence, drugs availability and the standards of patient care. Emphasizing the importance of punctuality and discipline, he encouraged BMOs, doctors, and staff to uphold high standards in serving patients with dedication and sincerity.
Special attention was placed on the Emergency Department to assess its ability to handle accidents, urgent care cases, and other medical emergencies that may arise at night.
The CMO expressed satisfaction with the hospital administration and staff for their commitment to patient care services.
He further instructed the staff at SDH Sunderbani and Nowshera to maintain punctuality, regularity, adherence to the dress code, and discipline to ensure the highest quality of service to the community.?
