Jammu, February 11:In yet another testament to his relentless pursuit of justice, SHO Zaheer Mushtaq, who has previously served commendably as SHO Miran Sahib, has added another feather to his cap with the successful apprehension of a notorious drug peddler.
Under his astute leadership, Police Station Akhnoor orchestrated a meticulously planned operation resulting in the arrest of Razak Ahmed, alias Kaka, son of Ghulam Mohd, hailing from Kandi Tehsil Maira Mandrian District Jammu.
The arrest, a significant milestone in the fight against drug-related crimes, was made possible through the dedicated efforts of SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, and his vigilant team.
The operation was launched following crucial intelligence received by PS Akhnoor regarding Razak Ahmed’s involvement in multiple criminal cases. Despite evading arrest in several instances, the determined police team, under the leadership of SHO Akhnoor, left no stone unturned in apprehending the fugitive.
Adding to the significance of the arrest, a warrant under PITNDPS (Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) was issued against Razak Ahmed by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, following a dossier submitted by the district police highlighting his criminal activities.
Razak Ahmed’s criminal record is extensive, with involvement in various NDPS Act cases, including FIR No. 150/2020 and FIR No. 320/2023 registered at PS Akhnoor, along with other incidents detailed in DD No. 32 dated 27.01.2024.
Following the execution of the warrant, Razak Ahmed was remanded to District Jail Kathua, marking a significant victory for law enforcement against drug-related crimes in the region.
