Kathua, Aug 11: The police of Kathua under the wise and skilled guidance of its SSP Shivdeep Singh Jamwal have taken the challenge to neutralize the crime from the district and in this concern they are working day and night to achieve the target. The SSP has revitalised the working and performance of the police in the district with the directions to strive hard for making society a crime-free.
District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Shivdeep Singh Jamwal -JKPS today solved a theft case by recovering 21 Motorcycles and 10 smart mobile phones in the Jurisdictional area of Police Station Rajbagh in connection with a theft case and three persons were arrested.
The said police station received information in written on 09.08.2023 at PS Rajbagh from the complainant namely Balwinder Singh son of Parkash Singh resident of Gujrair Tehsil & district Kathua regarding the theft of his vehicle. Upon receiving this information, a case FIR No. 211/2023, U/S 379 IPC was registered at P/S Rajbagh, and an investigation was set into motion. After the strenuous efforts of the police team headed by SHO Police Station Rajbagh Inspector Tariq Ahmed assisted by PSI Fazal Raja Dev and SI Sunil Kumar Thakur under the supervision of SDPO Border Dheeraj Singh Katoch JKPS rounded up 03 suspects namely- Vishal kumar S/O Raj Kumar; Sukhwinder S/o Lovely Kumar; and Abay S/o Lovely all R/O Khanpur Tehsil Marheen district Kathua, who confessed the crime. On their disclosure 21 Motorcycles and 10 smart mobile phones were recovered from different locations in the district. All the motorcycles and smart phones have been stolen from the jurisdiction of District Kathua and neighbouring District. Thereafter 03 persons were arrested and 21 Motorbikes alongwith 10 Android Mobile Phones were recovered/seized, whereas Investigation of the case is going on more recoveries and arrests cannot be ruled out.
