Vide Directorate of ULB order suspended officer is looking after Rajouri MC Khilafwarzi Wing

Rajouri, April 18: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal vide his office order issued on Monday (No.91-DDCR dt 17/4/2023) placed under suspension Khilafwarzi Inspector of Nowshera MC for remaining on an unauthorised absence from official duty.
DDC vide his office order has also initiated an inquiry in this matter to be conducted by Additional DC (ADC) Nowshera and during the suspension period Khalil Ahmed shall remain attached in the office of ADC, Nowshera.
The suspension was affected after the Executive Officer, Municipal Committee (MC), Nowshera vide his officer letter No.MC/NSR/2023-24/38 dt 17/4/2023 informed the DDC about the unauthorised absence of Khilafwarzi Inspector, Khalil Ahmed for the last three months despite serving notices and telephonic calls.
Another reason mentioned in DDC’s suspension order is a complaint by Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore (telephonic call to DC office amid a public meeting at Sunderbani) that Khilafwarzi Inspector demanded a bribe from a contractor for clearing his bills.
Surprisingly, contrary to the mentioning of unauthorised absence of Khalil Ahmed from official duty, it is also mentioned in the suspension order that he (Khalil) is presently working as a cashier with the Accounts Officer of Rajouri Municipal Council.
It is pertinent to mention here that vide order No. 210 of 2021 dt 27/4/2021 of Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies Jammu, Khilafwarzi Inspector Nowshera MC, Khilal Ahmed in addition to his own duties in MC Nowshera shall also look after the work of Khilafwarzi wing in Rajouri MC.
According to MC Rajouri sources, Khalil Ahmed is also looking after the affairs of MC Nowshera from Rajouri.
“In view of the above backdrop & recommendations made by the Executive Officer MC Nowshera, pending inquiry into the allegations, Khalil Ahmed Khilafwarzi Inspector MC Nowshera is hereby placed under suspension & during the suspension period will remain attached in the office of ADC Nowshera. ADC Nowshera shall conduct a detailed inquiry into the work & conduct of the officials & shall his report within 15 days along with comments” DDC suspension order reads.
