- Girl trafficking gang busted, 5 minor girls rescued by PS Bus stand Jammu; four accused arrested.

Jammu, Feb 20: Swiftly acting on a compliant the police of Jammu Bus Stand Police Station led by its SHO Vishal Dogra and under the overhaul supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Chandan Kohli IPS solved a cheating and fraud case within the 36 hours and recovered all the cheated items and case from the possession of cheater.
In this regard, a complaint was received at PS Bus Stand by one lady namely Anuradha from Ludhiana stating that one person who has made fake ID of IPS Officer of DIG rank did fraud with her and took away her jewellry of 8 lacs approx and cash Rs 76000 via online transaction through BHIM App to his wife’s account namely Sunita Devi resident of Arnia. He was impersonating himself as a senior Police officer.
On this special police teams of PS Bus Stand led by SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar and led by SHO PS Bus Stand Inspector Vishal Dogra acted swiftly on the little information given by the complainant, whereas the police teams gathered more information regarding the cheater by using the various technical aids. The police team finally rounded up the said accused person Rajesh Kumar son of Fateh Chand resident of Adler, Arnia Jammu. During questioning the said accused cheater confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure all the duped jewellery and cash was recovered from him.
On this a case FIR No. 12/2023 u/s 420,379 IPC got registered at PS Bus stand against the said accused. In this case further investigation of the case is going on.
The SHO said that police has got remand up to February 29 to investigate him. The police of Bus Stand has worked the case within very short period of time, which depicts that the performance of the police is much improved as compared to yesteryears and in respect to the police of Jammu district all credit goes to SSP Chandan Kohli, who is skilled and vibrant officer.
Meanwhile, a police team of PS Bus stand led by SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar assisted by SHO PS Bus Stand Inspector Vishal Dogra while on patrolling duty received an input regarding some minor girls standing unnecessarily in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Bus Stand.
On this police team reached at the said place and during questioning of the minor girls it came to fore that the said girls were being trafficked and they didn’t know language of each other. After this police teams used the CCTV footages of the area and finally rounded up four accused later identified as: Asma Akhter wife of Mohd Sameer; Rohina Akhter wife of Abdul Hameed; Mohd Rafeeq son of Ahmed Nazir; and Mohd Arif son of Noor Mohd.
In this regard case FIR No. 13/2023 u/s 370 IPC got registered at PS Bus Stand and accused got arrested. During questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure they told that the said minor girls were being trafficked to some other place.
Minor girls were finally sent to CWC for counseling after proper medico legal formalities, whereas, further investigation of the case is going on.
