Kohli’s crusade against drugs!

Jammu, Jan 04: The Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu Chandan Kohli IPS has made up his mind to neutralize the drug menace from the entire Jammu district to save the youth of the locality and in this concern he has deputed very hard working and energetic SHOs in the police station of his jurisdiction and they (SHOs) are following his directions.
Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 10 grams of heroin at a naka in the jurisdiction of PS Kahnachak Jammu.
A police team of Police Station Kahnachak constituted under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Domana Sunil Singh and led by SHO PS Kahnachak Inspector. Rahul Mahajan while on naka duty rounded up one suspect on a vehicle bearing Registration No JK02CL-6243. On search 10 grams of heroin was recovered from him.
In this regard case FIR No 02/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at PS Kahnachak Jammu and accused got arrested. The accused arrested was later identified as Barkat Ali @ Chama S/O Saif Ali R/O Rajpura.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
