3 suspected bike riders broke police Naka and fled towards riverside

Rajouri, Jan 4: Nowshera police in collaboration with the Army and a team of Special Operation Group (SOG) launched a search operation after three motorcycle riders break the police ‘Naka’ at Thalka in Nowshera sub-division and disappeared in the Tawi River taking advantage of darkness.
The incident took place at about 8 pm under the jurisdiction of the Nowshera police station.
When contacted, SSP, Mohammad Aslam informed that a motorcycle (without a registration number) with two pillion riders coming from the Rajouri side was signaled to stop at the Thalka police check post, but the driver broke the a aka and fled from the spot.
“In the meantime, a press reporter’s car from Nowshera accompanied by Romesh Kumar, Sarpanch Deeing Panchayat & coming from Rajouri side reached the spot and the police team with the help of them chased the motorcycle,” SSP said.
“After a distance of about 150 meters the motorcycle was intercepted by the police and even a head constable managed to catch the collar of one among the three, but he managed to jump towards Riverside despite his shirt was torn in this process,” SSP added.
“Whether the fleeing persons are miscreants, terrorists, drug smugglers, or anti-social elements, it would only be clear after their arrest. However, SFs are on the highest alert to foil any nefarious attempt by ANE’s” SSP further said.
Additional police force along with SOG team, headed by SHO, Nowshera reached the spot and launched a search operation which was in progress at the time of filing this report.
