Illegal felling of Khair goes on unabated!

Sunderbani, Feb 16: Forest Division Rajouri is active for taking action against deforestation as honest and dedicated Conservator of Forest Vivek Verma IFS Rajouri has issued strict directions to DFOs and range officers to take quick action against persons who are instrumental in wreaking loss to forests.
The permission for The forest petroling team Kalakote range constituted by Dr, Arshdeep Singh (IFS) division Forest officer (DFO) Rajouri seized 42 billets of Khair illegally. Then the forest team constituted raided at Jatta Mallian village and found 42 Nos. billets stocked in the private fields. In view of regulation of illegal felling of khair trees, special team was constituted to carry out combing operation, said Dr AD Singh, IFS Divisional Forest Officer Rajouri.
The team was headed by Ved Kumar Sharma, Ranger, Kalakote in Co-ordination of Block Forest Officer Sialsui Zakir Hussain, Block Forest Officer Kalakote Mohd Sharif, Block Forest Officer Dhaleri Sajad Ahmed, Ashok Kumar Beat guard Kalakote, Rahul Sharma Beat Guard Tatapani beat. The whole operation was carried out under direct supervision of Vivek Verma, IFS, Conservator of Forests, West Circle, Rajouri and Dr Arshdeep Singh IFS Divisional Forest Officer, Rajouri.
