Bolero with Fake Registration Seized for Smuggling Khair Wood in Kalidhar Range

Jammu, Sep 19: In a major action against forest smuggling, a Mahindra Bolero bearing fake registration number JK02CD-5984 was seized at Persoti village, Tanda block of Kalidhar Forest Range under Jammu Forest Division. The vehicle was found loaded with illicit khair wood billets and was intercepted by a forest officials’ team led by Range Officer Kalidhar, under the supervision of Sh. Anurag Arya, DFO Jammu.
Authorities confirmed that the vehicle along with the seized consignment has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway. The department reiterated its resolve to curb forest produce smuggling and protect green wealth in the region.
