The young girls tied Rakhis on the wrists of police officers and personnel, symbolizing a bond of protection and gratitude. The gesture was a tribute to the dedication, vigilance, and selfless service of the Akhnoor police force in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.
The officers welcomed the students with warmth and appreciation. Station House Officer (SHO) Akhnoor expressed his delight over the initiative, stating, “Raksha Bandhan signifies protection, trust, and unity-values that are deeply embedded in police service. This interaction strengthens the bridge between the police and the community, especially the younger generation.”
