SSP Udhampur’s young daughter passes away

UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: A wave of shock and grief swept through Udhampur on Saturday after the young daughter of Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Amod Ashok Nagpure, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness.
Sources said the child had been suffering from mild fever for the last couple of days and collapsed suddenly at home on Sunday morning.
Despite immediate efforts, she could not be saved.
The sudden death has left the family devastated, with condolences pouring in from police officers, civil administration, and members of the public.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday expressed condolences on the untimely demise of daughter of Udhampur SSP Amod Nagpure Ashok.
In a message, LG Sinha said, “Shocked and heartbroken by the tragic news of the passing of the daughter of SSP Udhampur Shri Amod Nagpure Ashok. My deepest condolences to the grieving family. May the Almighty give them courage and strength to bear this irreparable loss. I pray for peace to the departed soul. Om Shanti.”
CM Abdullah’s office also posted a condolence message on X.
“Chief Minister has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of the young daughter of SSP Udhampur. He has extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength to bear this irreparable loss,” the post said.
Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, has expressed his profound grief over the untimely and heartbreaking demise of the young daughter of Amod Ashok Nagpure, Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur.
In his condolence message, the Chief Secretary said that he got deeply saddened by this tragic loss for which words fall short in the face of such an unimaginable tragedy. He remarked that his heartfelt condolences go out to SSP Nagpure and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Praying for eternal peace to the departed soul, the Chief Secretary wished the bereaved family strength, courage, and solace to bear this irreparable loss.
Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) chief Ghulam Nabi Azad also condoled the death, saying “there can be no greater pain for a parent than losing a child”.
In his X post, DPAP chief Azad said, “Shattered to hear about the devastating loss of the young daughter of Amod Ashok Nagpure (IPS) SSP Udhampur. There can be no greater pain for a parent than losing a child, it’s a wound that never heals. May God give them immense strength to survive this tragedy, RIP!”
