Bharat Bharti Launches Nationwide Integration Drive; Commemorates Sardar Patel’s Legacy

Jammu, Jul 19: In a spirited pursuit of national unity and the vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, the Bharat Bharti organization has kickstarted a historic initiative aimed at reinforcing the message of oneness, cultural harmony, and national integration across India’s educational institutions.

A five-day tour of Jammu and Kashmir was recently undertaken by a distinguished national delegation led by Mr. Jagan Nath Kunjvihari, National General Secretary of Bharat Bharti, and Mr. Irfan Ahmed, President for the Northern Region. The visit was part of a broader mission to honour the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Union Home Minister and the architect of a united India, by commemorating his pivotal contribution to the integration of princely states.

The inspiration behind this initiative was derived from a significant national-level event held in Surat in June, where it was unanimously resolved to launch the “Bharat Bharti National Integration Programme” across 150 universities and major cities of India. The goal is to celebrate India’s rich diversity and to promote solidarity among the youth, who represent the vibrant essence of “Mini Bharat” within their campuses—bringing together students from various states, linguistic backgrounds, and cultural traditions.

During the Jammu leg of their campaign, the Bharat Bharti leadership team engaged in a series of high-level meetings with prominent educational and political figures. Mr. Irfan Ahmed briefed the media at the conclusion of the visit, highlighting the fruitful deliberations with Lt. Governor Mr Manoj Sinha, who was apprised of the upcoming programmes scheduled to be hosted in Jammu and Kashmir.

The local Bharat Bharti team, led by UT Coordinator Pt. Jeeva Nand Sharma and Cultural Secretary Pt. Opinder Sharma, actively participated in organizing and coordinating the delegation’s meetings. The team held important sessions with the Director of IIT Jammu, the Vice Chancellor and Deans of Cluster University, as well as the Controller of Examinations, Mr. Ranvijay Singh.

Bharat Bharti also received strong support from the political fraternity, having held significant discussions at the BJP Headquarters in Jammu, including a meeting with BJP Vice President Mr. Rajeev Charak. These engagements aimed at fostering greater institutional and administrative cooperation for the successful rollout of the Bharat Bharti activities in the region.

Culminating their visit, a press conference was organized at the Bharat Bharti office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. It was graced by an enthusiastic gathering of members, senior citizens, and cultural advocates. Among the prominent attendees were Pt. R.C. Sharma, General Secretary Bharat Bharti-J&K, Mr. Bippin Dubey, Mr. Anil Gaind, Mr. Tushar Gaind, Mr. Aditya Khajuria, Mr. Viren Sharma, Mr. Ajay Mehta, and Mr. Pawan Sharma.

During the press interaction, Mr. Jeeva Nand Sharma also shared the core objectives and themes of the Bharat Bharti movement. He assured the inclusive participation of youth and cultural stakeholders from Jammu & Kashmir and beyond. “Bharat Bharti is not just a programme; it is a living embodiment of unity in diversity, showcasing India’s civilizational ethos and the unbreakable bond among all its citizens,” he said.

The initiative received widespread appreciation, with a strong resolve from participants to hold similar events across Jammu city and other districts to further ignite the spirit of patriotism, national integration, and cultural pride. With such dynamic and grassroots-led efforts, Bharat Bharti is poised to become a cornerstone in building a more united and harmonious India.
