Army organizes Quami Ekta Milan in Poonch to promote communal harmony

Rajouri-Poonch, April 25: In the wake of the recent Pahalgam massacre, the Indian Army took a significant step towards fostering communal harmony and restoring peace by organizing a Quami Ekta Milan (National Unity Gathering) in Poonch.

The event was chaired by Brigadier Mudit Mahajan, Commander of the 93 Infantry Brigade, and witnessed participation from five prominent religious heads along with several members of civil society.

The primary aim of the gathering was to ease communal tensions, encourage mutual trust among communities, and enhance coordination between the public and the security forces.

Brig. Mudit Mahajan urged civilians to remain alert and share even the minutest information with the Army promptly.

Representatives of the Sanatan Dharam Sabha, District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Beopar Mandal, members of civil society, Chairman of Jamia Zia Ul Uloom, Christian community, and Shia Federation were present at the Quami Ekta Milan.
