Poonch Police Attach 28 lakh worth property of three terrorists operating from PoJK

Rajouri-Poonch, March 2: In a major move to curb terrorism and dismantle its support structures, Poonch Police have attached four properties of three local terrorists who had fled to PoJK and are actively engaged in anti-India activities.
The four properties include 14.8 kanals of land, valued at approximately ?28 lakh, in Qasba and Kirni villages of Poonch district.
The seized property belongs to Najab Din and his brother Mohd Latif, sons of Mohamda, residents of Kirni village, Tehsil Haveli, Poonch district. Another property belongs to Mohd Bashir, also known as Tikka Khan, son of Bahadur Ali, a resident of Qasba village, Tehsil Haveli, Poonch district

“All three individuals had earlier fled to Pakistan/POK and are actively engaged in promoting terrorism, disturbing peace, and threatening social harmony in Poonch and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir” , said police.

The action was taken in compliance with the Hon’ble Court’s order under Sections 82 and 83 of the CrPC, related to FIR No. 202/2022, registered at Poonch Police Station.”

“This step underscores the firm commitment of Poonch Police to taking strong action against individuals involved in terrorism and activities that disrupt social harmony,” said police.

The attachment proceedings were carried out by a police team led by Deputy SP HQs, Neeraj Sharma, SHO Police Station Poonch inspector, Rashid, and Naib-Tehsildar Poonch, along with revenue officials.

Local residents of Qasba and Kirni villages witnessed the execution of this action. “Poonch Police remain steadfast in their resolve to root out terrorism and ensure peace and stability in the region,” said SSP, Shafket Hussain.
