SHO Miran Sahib Jaipal Sharma, in a swift operation, apprehended two wanted criminals, Rajat Raina and Raghunandan Kesar, within hours of a shooting incident at Swarn Palace, Miran Sahib.
The arrests led to the recovery of two pistols, ammunition, and the seizure of the vehicle used by the criminals. The search continues for a third suspect involved in the incident.
Since taking charge on January 10, 2025, SHO Sharma has significantly improved the security situation in Miran Sahib, seizing a large cache of illegal arms, including six pistols and one Katta, and arresting eight hardcore criminals.

Jammu, February 24 : In a decisive move against criminal elements, Miran Sahib Police, led by the proactive SHO Inspector Jaipal Sharma, have apprehended two wanted criminals and seized illegal arms and ammunition, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the region.
The arrests follow a shooting incident on February 23, 2025, at Swarn Palace in Miran Sahib. Three individuals, identified as Rajat Raina alias Rishu, Raghunandan Kesar alias Raghu, both residents of Marh and Goura Jatt, allegedly fired shots during a function and fled the scene. Miran Sahib Police immediately registered FIR No. 27/2025 under sections 109/3(5) BNS and 3/25 of the Arms Act and launched an investigation.
SHO Jaipal Sharma, working under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu, swiftly mobilized his team and, utilizing human intelligence and technical resources, established a surprise checkpoint on the Ring Road. Within hours of the incident, Rajat Raina and Raghunandan Kesar were apprehended while traveling in a Thar vehicle (JK02DA-2525). Police recovered two pistols, three live rounds, one empty round, and seized the vehicle. The search for the
third suspect, Goura Jatt, is ongoing.
