Akhnoor, January 26: In line with ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order during the Republic Day celebrations, a strict Naka (security checkpoint) was set up at Pannu Chowk, Akhnoor. The security measures were executed under the direct supervision of SDPO Sunil Singh Jasrotia and Police Station In-charge Rohit Gandhi.
The checkpoint was established to ensure smooth and secure celebrations, with a special focus on maintaining vigilance against any untoward incidents. All vehicles passing through the area were thoroughly checked as part of the enhanced security arrangements. This exercise aimed to ensure the safety of citizens while fostering a sense of security among the public.
Speaking about the initiative, the officers emphasized the commitment of the Akhnoor police force to uphold public safety during national events. They stated, “Our top priority is the safety of our citizens. We have taken every measure to ensure a secure and peaceful environment for everyone.”
They further added that the cooperation of the public in adhering to the security protocols is commendable.
