Div Com and ADGP Jammu reviewed ongoing safety measures in Badhal

On Div Com’s direction DC Rajouri relocated high-risk contacts at Rajouri for safety

Rajouri, January 22: Day after the Chief Minister’s visit to Badhal village, where 17 people have died due to mysterious illness, Divisional Commissioner and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) on Wednesday visited Badhal area and took stock of the situation and reviewed ongoing safety measures in Badhal.
In the wake of 5 more persons, including three sisters whose health suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday and Wednesday, Div Com Ramesh Kumar and ADGP Anand Jain directed Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to immediately relocate the close contacts of affected families from Badhal to Nursing College and Government Medical College Rajouri.
Out of five patients, four have been airlifted to PGI Chandigarh for treatment and further management.
District Administration later in the evening issued Instructions to Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), Block Development Officers (BDOs), and their subordinate staff and concerned departments to facilitate the seamless movement of the identified individuals to the designated facilities.
The Animal and sheep Husbandry Department has been tasked with deploying officials to manage and care for domestic animals left behind in the village, ensuring their safety and proper upkeep.
Designated officers and their teams will oversee the well-being of the relocated residents upon their arrival in Rajouri, providing essential support and other necessities during their stay.
The Divisional Commissioner directed all concerned officials to work in close coordination to ensure the effective implementation of the measures.
