KPC condemns derogatory remarks by Iltija Mufti on Hindutva and Lord Rama; terms it an insult to Hindus

jj correspondent
Jammu, Dec 10: The Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), strongly condemns the vile and divisive remarks made by Iltija Mufti, including her derogatory statement labeling Hindutva as a “disease” and suggesting that “Ram’s head should bow in shame.” Such remarks are not only an insult to the Hindu community but a calculated attempt to undermine the unity and dignity of India’s ancient civilization.
Shri Kundan Kashmiri, President of KPC, stated unequivocally that Hindutva is an inseparable part of Hindu religion and culture. It represents the ethos, values, and traditions that Hindus have safeguarded and celebrated for thousands of years. Any attack on Hindutva is not merely an ideological disagreement; it is a direct affront to the Hindu community’s identity, heritage, and spiritual way of life. Shri Kashmiri highlighted that individuals like the Muftis and Abdullah’s have a long history of fueling hatred and supporting those who destabilize peace and harmony. Their actions and words, often cloaked in deceptive rhetoric, have consistently aligned with the causes of stone pelters, Islamic extremists, and rioters. Such leaders have defended acts that undermine law and order, while conveniently ignoring or dismissing the pain and suffering of Hindus in Kashmir and beyond.
The President of KPC reminded the nation of the horrors inflicted upon the Kashmiri Pandit community during their genocide. The mass murders, ethnic cleansing, and forced exodus of Pandits from their ancestral homeland remain a dark chapter in history. Those who remained silent-or worse, were complicit-during this tragedy have no moral right to comment on matters concerning Hindutva or Hindu culture.
He warned that the divisive rhetoric of such leaders is deeply dangerous. It normalizes hatred against Hindus, misguides Kashmiri Muslims into embracing extremism, and perpetuates a toxic cycle of alienation and violence. Instead of fostering peace, reconciliation, and mutual respect, these leaders continue to stoke the flames of animosity.
Kundan Kashmiri President KPC stated that the duplicity of these individuals will not go unchallenged. Their attempts to distort our history, malign our beliefs, and sow seeds of discord will be met with resolute resistance. The Hindu community must stand united to protect its culture, history, and identity against all such nefarious agendas.”
Mr MK Raina vice president KPC & Dr Saraf general secretary KPC emphasized that Hindutva is not just a philosophy; it is a shield that safeguards the Hindu religion, culture, and existence against such insidious attacks. Any attempt to malign Hindutva is a betrayal of our heritage and a deliberate effort to weaken Hindu unity. The Hindu community must recognize this agenda and stand resolutely against it.
They calls upon Hindus worldwide, especially in Kashmir, to reject the hypocrisy and divisive propaganda of these so-called leaders and urges the Muslim community in the Kashmir Valley to denounce these voices of extremism and hatred and to work towards fostering respect and harmony among all religions.
