Vijaypur, Dec 05: In a significant victory against the drug menace plaguing the region, SHO Vijaypur Zaheer Mushtaq, leading a targeted raid under the supervision of SSP Samba Virender Manhas, has apprehended three drug peddlers and seized a substantial quantity of heroin and cash.
Acting on specific intelligence, SHO Zaheer raided multiple locations within his jurisdiction, leading to the arrest of three individuals involved in drug trafficking. The operation resulted in the recovery of 11.43 grams of heroin and ?24,630 in cash, along with a weighing machine, from Bhag Ali S/O Gau and Meenu D/O Gau, both residents of Rakh Barotain. From another accused, Roshan Bibi alias Aalu, wife of Lal Hussain, also a resident of Rakh Barotain, police recovered 8.90 grams of heroin and ?14,140 in cash.
