Jammu, Apr 22: Tightening the noose of the criminals, the Jammu South police has flexed its muscle to nab the crooks including absconders of any level to make a crime-free society. In this context, the police today nabbed a criminal who was evading arrest for more than three decades by hoodwinking the police.
Today, a team of Police Station Satwari assisted by Incharge Officer PP Chatha PSI Paramjeet Singh and ASI Kulbir Kour nabbed an absconder who was on run for last 31 years and was so slippery that police remained unsuccessful to nab him. It is believed that after strenuous efforts by making use of human intelligence led by SHO Inspector Susheel Sharma, under the supervision of SP South Shri Ajay Sharma (JKPS) and SDPO City South Kartik Shrotriya (IPS) apprehended absconder evading arrest since 31 years namely Locha Singh son of Tirath Singh resident of Bhour Camp Chatha. He was nabbed from Chatha Jammu. A woman police officer ASI Kulbir Kour played a significant role in nabbing the absconder.
The said Absconder was wanted in case FIR No. 147/1991 u/s 307/382/435 RPC, 3/4 TADA, 3/25 Arms Act of PS Satwari. The said Absconder has been arrested and produced before the competent court from where he has further been sent to judicial custody till 29th April 2024.
