Jammu, Feb 28: In a bold display of zero tolerance towards land mafia activities, District Magistrate Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, unleashed a relentless assault on illegal structures, leaving the once-standing Banquet Hall at Khour reduced to rubble.
With an unwavering commitment to upholding the law, Vaishya’s actions send a clear message: violators will face swift and severe consequences, adding no one will be spared where ever such violations are found.
Under the vigilant eye of SDM Khour Satish Sharma and Tehsildar Khour Monika Sharma, the administration orchestrated the demolition of an illicitly constructed banquet hall in village Marchangi, Tehsil Khour.
This brazen act of encroachment, built without the requisite permissions and land use authorizations, stood as a glaring violation of regulations.
The proprietor, who deceitfully acquired possession of State Land under false pretences, now faces the full force of legal retribution. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings against those complicit in this fraudulent transaction, ensuring justice is served.
In a display of unwavering commitment against encroachment and violation of norms, the District Administration demolished an illegally constructed banquet hall in village Marchangi, in Tehsil Khour.
The proprietor had been wrongfully granted possession of State Land, actually designated as Gair Mumkin Choi, rather than the legitimate piece of land he had purchased.
The banquet hall, erected without proper building permissions and change of land use authorisation, was found in violation of regulations.
Following meticulous demarcation by the administration, the proprietor was subsequently granted possession of the land that was rightfully recorded as his own.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against those responsible for this fraudulent transaction and the transfer of land possession.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Monika Sharma’s swift response to vendor fraud underscores the administration’s commitment to accountability. Sharma’s directive to the SHO, Khour, demanding action against the fraudulent vendor, demonstrates an uncompromising stance against deceitful practices.
Tehsildar Monika Sharma taking cognizance of fraud committed with the vendee has written a letter to SHO, Khour asking him to initiate action against the vendor who has committed fraud with the vendee.
The letter TK/OQ/2023-24/769 dated 28/02/2024 says that, “In reference to the subject cited above. In this connection it is hereby submitted that incompliance to directions of Additional District Magistrate Jammu Vide Letter No. DCI/SQ/Misc/2023-24/6794-97 dated: 28-02-2024 the undersigned directed The Naib Tehsildar Khour Vide No: Tk/OQ/2022-23/757-761 dated: 28-02-2024 to carry out the Demolition drive of illegal construction Banquet Hall at village Marchangi in Tehsil Khour.
During the demolition drive Sh. Ram Lal S/o Hans Raj showed the registry documents of Purchased land in Khasra No. 03 at village Marchangi. On the directions of SDM Khour the undersigned directed the Naib Teshildar Khour and Patwari Khour to demarcate the land in Khasra No. 03 at village Marchangi. As per the report of Naib Teshildar Khour it has been found that the vendor (Mohan Singh and Sohan Singh S/o Kabal Singh) have deceived the vendee Ram Lal S/o Hans Raj while giving the possession.
As such it is clear that the vendee Ram Lal S/o Hans Raj has been deceived by the Vendor (Mohan Singh and Sohan Singh S/o Kabal Singh, while taking the possession of the land Purchased by him in Khasra No. 03 in village Marchangi. You are directed to initiate necessary legal action against the Mohan Singh and Sohan Singh S/o Kabal Singh in the light of above fact and furnish action taken report to the office of the undersigned”
