Jammu, Feb 25: Jammu Warriors Front (JWF) Chairman Rajesh Gupta today urged Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) to dispose off the cases which are lying pending for more than 7 years. He said that like CAT has passed strictures against Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (PSC) for taking the court cases casually, it must adopt same procedure against SSB for taking the cases casually which has increased the pendency.
JWF leader has urged to the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) to make the precedent and adopt the similar decision for the Service Selection Board (SSB).
Rajesh Gupta mentioned the CAT’s statement, “The Public Service Commission is a creation of a statute as such a Constitutional entity and such casual approach from any institution which selects the cream of bureaucracy and other allied fields is highly deplorable”, Gupta said on the same pretext the Service Selection Board (SSB) should be dealt with.
Gupta further added that due to the casual approach of JK Service Selection Board several youths are facing mental trauma due to pendency of their cases even though some of them are lying pending for more than seven years. He urged CAT to dispose of all the cases which are lying pending for more than seven years without any giving more opportunity to file the objections.
