Poonch, Feb 6: Government Primary school building in Dara area of Seri-khawaja in Zone Surankote is in deplorable condition.
However, the concerned authorities remained unmoved to get the building repaired thus putting the lives of the students at stake.
As per reports, the building of Government Primary School at Dara area of Seri-khawaja in Zone Surankote is in deplorable condition.
After heavy rainfall and thunderstorm, the building of the school suffered damages and till today no repair work has been initiated by the concerned authorities.
The parents of the students studying in this school approached concerned authorities several times to get the building of the school repaired, but nothing has been done till today.
“Due to deplorable condition of the school building, there is fear fiasco among the students”, the parents alleged.
As the Government has announced reopening of the schools in the month of March the students are having fear of getting hurt while studying in this deplorable school building, the parents added.
Rooms, Kitchen and toilet in the school building and all are in dilapidated condition. We think that the authorities are waiting for any misadventure to take place”, the parents added.
The reports further said that the villagers and parents of the students took up the school building repair issue with the concerned authorities of the Education Department, but nothing has been done till yet.
“We have apprehensions that something wrong will happen in the time to come if school building is not repaired at the earliest”, the parents said.
The villagers including parents have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor and district development Commissioner Poonch to direct the concerned authorities for repairing of the building before the classes resume in March this year.
