Jammu, January 02: Tehsildar Jammu (North) Aman Kumar Anand has issued stern warning to landgrabbers, encroachers and other mischief mongers to desist from eyeing the state land in Jammu saying strict action under law will be taken against those found involved in illegal activity.
He issued this warning after a complaint was filed before him on 30/12/2023 that some landgrabbers were trying to sell a portion of 24 Kanal, 13 Marla state land under Khasra No 356, mutation No 2004/1(Jeem) and a Pond under Khasra No 402 at village Paloura in Jammu.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, Tehsildar Jammu (North) constituted a team of officers under the leadership of Anwar Hafeez Chowdhry, Naib Tehsildar Mishriwala comprising Girdawar Kali Dass and Patwari Paloura, Darshan Kumar, who visited the spot alongwith police team and demolished the unauthorised constructions over Pond under Khasra No 402 and state land under Khasra No 356 and erected a sign board declaring the land as state land.
Tehsildar Jammu (North) while issuing a stern warning said that nobody howsoever highly connected, he may be, will not be spared if found involved in illegal activity and any such activity will be viewed very seriously and strict action under law will be taken.
When contacted Naib Tehsildar, Mishriwala Anwar Hafeez Chowdhry said that Tehsildar Jammu (North) Aman Kumar Anand has issued clear directions that land grabbing and encroachment of state land within his jurisdiction must not be allowed under any circumstances and prompt action must be taken on such complaints adding it is a clear warning to those who are hellbent upon encroaching or eyeing state land for illegal sale.
He further added that nobody will be spared if found involved in such illegal activity.
It is worth mentioning here that a complaint regarding such an illegal activity and unauthorised constructions was received by Tehsildar Jammu (North) regarding the land under Khasra No 356 which had already been declared as state owned land by the then District Magistrate (DM) Jammu, Anvy Lavasa through an order issued on 29/04/2023 after which the concerned revenue officials had made an entry in Red Ink on 10/05/2023 on the mutation register declaring it as state land.
However, there were reports that some landgrabbers were trying to sell this particular land despite the order of the DM, through illegal sale for which a complaint was registered with Tehsildar Jammu (North) on 30/12/2023 who took prompt action and saved the state land from illegal activity.
It is also pertinent to mention here that Aman Kumar Anand has earlier evicted encroachers from such a land belonging to government when he removed the encroachers last month who had usurped 2 Kanals of prime state land in Raipur Domana.
Meanwhile local residents have appreciated the quick action of Tehsildar Jammu (North) and hoped that such illegal activities will be halted with such quick and strict action from the revenue authorities.
