Suicide or murder? Nowshera police started an investigation

Rajouri, October 30: According to initial information available, a 22-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging in Chowki-Handan village under Nowshera police station jurisdiction on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Ramu s/o Late Raj Kumar resident of Muzaffar Nagar in UP.
The deceased was working as a carpenter with a furniture shop.
The family members of the deceased, who reached Nowshera today, said that Raju died in suspicious circumstances and demanded a police investigation.
Nowshera police have started inquest proceedings into the unnatural death of Raju.
On the demand of family members, Nowshera police took possession of the body and brought it to the sub-district hospital at Nowshera.
After post-mortem and medico-legal formalities, the police handed over the body of Raju to the family members to be taken to his native village in UP for his last rites.
Family members of Raju, including his brother & cousin have asked the police for a fair and transparent investigation into the suspicious death.
The body of Raju was found hanging with a fan in a room belonging to the owner of a furniture workshop.
