Infamous murder of Dr Sumedha: SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta headed SIT files charge sheet in Court

Jammu, October 30: The special investigation team (SIT) headed by Superintendent of Police, headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta today filed a charge sheet in the infamous murder of Dr Sumedha, who was killed by Johar Mehmood on 7th March this year in the Janipur area of Jammu city.
According a Police spokesperson, the charge sheet in the Infamous Dr Sumedha murder case, FIR no. 27/2023 u/s 302/309 IPC of PS Janipur produced in the court of law.
“On 07/03/2023, information was received at PS Janipur regarding the murder of one Dr Sumedha Sharma. In this regard, a case FIR No. 27/2023 u/s 302/323 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and an investigation started”, the spokesperson said.
“On this, an SIT was constituted by the then SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli, which was headed by Ramnish Gupta, SP Hqrs, and other members included Sachit Sharma, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Vishal Shoor, SDPO Domana, Inspr Sikander Chouhan, SHO Janipur, Inspr Rakesh Sharma SHO Bakshi Nagar”, the spokesperson said, adding that finally today a 1249 pages charge sheet was produced for offenses under section 302/309 IPC well established against accused Johar Mehmood in the court of law.
The SIT headed by Ramnish Gupta, SP Hqrs rigorously worked into and took it to a logical conclusion. “Entry of a Punjab-based girl becomes a reason for the murder of Dr Sumedha, Johar Mehmood cheating Dr Sumedha fall in love with another girl, eliminated her under a well-planned conspiracy. After the coldblooded murder of Dr. Sumedha, protests erupted at many places in Jammu city, but the civil administration and Police tirelessly delivered justice and maintained law and order in sensitive Jammu district”, said a Police Officer, wishing not to be named.
