Jammu, Apr 27: The police of Jammu district under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Chandan Kohli IPS is firm to make Jammu district free from drug abuse and on the same analogy the SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq Manhas is working and demolishing the ways of drug-smuggling.
Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, the Miran sahib police achieved major success by recovering 50 grams of Heroin during a nakka checking and nabbed a drug-smuggler.
A police team of PS Miran Sahib led by SDPO R.S Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq while on naka at Brigade Road near Shamshan Ghat Miran Sahib rounded up one suspect. During search, 50 grams of heroin was recovered from the accused namely Janamjit Singh S/o R.s Dutta R/o Seri Morh Rehambal Udhampur who was coming from Miran Sahib towards Chatha. In this regard case FIR No. 88/2023 U/S 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act got registered at PS Miran Sahib and accused got arrested.
Jammu police under the able guidance of SSP Chandan Kohli is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain. The SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq Manhas has done tremendous job to make the drug-free society. He has joined the Police Station Miran Sahib on 07-05-2022 but in 355 days, he has lodged 45 FIRs of NDPS, arrested 70 drug-peddlers, besides he recovered 700 grams Methaqualone and 650 grams Heroine. He worked day and night to nab the drug-peddlers and he got success too.
Whereas, he has solved many theft cases by recovering the stolen items and in this concern he has recovered more than 50 two-wheelers and four wheelers stolen in different parts of the Jammu. He has arrested hard core criminal Baaghu, Panku, Dilbagh, Sunny, Happy, Baddu Sahil and many more put behind bars. Not only this, he has recovered several Desi kattas and booked the criminals under Arms act. He has also arrested several absconder and sent them to jail.
