Nefarious designs of enemies will be thwarted effectively: Jammu Zone ADGP

Jammu, Apr 04: Stating that police would effectively respond to every challenge posed by whatever situation, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh on Tuesday said that nefarious designs of the enemies would be thwarted.
Speaking at the high level police-public meeting at Samba, the ADGP said that the first priority of police is to eradicate drug menace from the society and police is bringing to book and nabbing all smugglers of narcotic substances.
He called upon people to step in and assist police in war against Heroin (chitta) and assured that all the grievances aired by the people at the police-public meet would be redressed appropriately.
Singh appreciated the role of Samba police, especially action against suppliers of heroin, thieves, bovine smugglers and mining mafia.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu-Kathua Range, Shakti Kumar Pathak, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta and Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary among others present on the occasion.
A large number of prominent citizens of Samba district hailing from different towns and villages participated in the high level police-public meeting and highlighted the issues pertaining to the police department.
The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen police-public relations and to redress the grievances of the people.
At the outset, SSP Samba Benam Tosh welcomed ADGP Jammu Zone, the prominent citizens and other dignitaries at the high level police-public meeting and requested the people to put forward their viewpoints with regard to crime, drug abuse, law & order or any other matter in the district. UNI
