Jammu, Apr 04: Why the staff tried to bury the stumps of felled Khair trees to erase the live evidences? Who was behind this conspiracy of erasing evidences of this heinous crime of felling and destroying grean gold of the Jammu & Kashmir? Why the concerned Ranger has closed his eyes towards this heinous crime or he is involved? Who leaked the information about the visit of Conservative of Forest Jammu East Circle B Mohan Dass IFS and what was his intention? How many Forest, revenue and police officials are involved in this heinous and huge scam in the department of Forest? Why Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu is silent over the huge scam? Why Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu & Kashmir is too silent over the big scam? These are very tough questions irritating in the mind of people and these questions should be answered by the senior most officer of the Forest department or government must come out.
The visiting team lead by Conservator of Forest Jammu East Circle B Mohan Dass has found very startling evidences on the spot as some of the culprits have attempted to erase the evidences in the form of stumps but they failed to do so. Though the team unearthed very few stumps which were buried yet these evidences are sufficient for investigating the huge scam of felling of Khair trees illegally from the Forest land which is worst type of crime in the Forest act.
It is pertinent to mention that the visit of the Conservator of Forest Jammu east Circle to Thandi Choi was a secret only few senior officials were known to this but someone has deliberately leaked the information regarding his visit and alerted the culprits so that they might erase the evidences. The culprits did not successfully bury the stumps but they tried to do it.
With each passing day the scam of illegal felling of Khair trees from the forest is becoming bigger, which is a serious concern and it should be handed over to CBI to nab the actual culprits and the person who is behind the curtain and regulating the huge scam through remote.
No doubt, the Lt Governor is silently watching the Forest department worst game of the illegal felling of the Khair trees and will surely have a surgical strike on corrupt officers of Forest department but he is watching the performance of the senior Forest officers who are only meant for the safety of forest.
The government must re-verify the 89 files for the Forest department on the recommendations of the revenue department has given permission for the felling of trees. The permission to some of the files given by the Forest department has been given on fictitious base and need a thorough probe to unearth the scam. There is involvement of the revenue department for recommending the wrong cases for permission and so a specific enquiry by CBI should be ordered immediately to expose the involved officers of Forest, revenue and police department in this heinous crime and forest scam.
