Dhangri terror victims’ families threaten to migrate, return ex-gratia, govt jobs

•  Even after 86 days perpetrators of Dhangri massacre are not traceable

Rajouri, March 27: Annoyed over the administration’s failure to take action against the terrorists involved in twin terror attacks in Dhangri village and against those who helped the terrorists, family members of the terror victims on Monday said, “We, in resentment, decided to return the ex-gratia amount, government jobs are given, and other incentives”.
It is pertinent to mention here that at about 6, 30 pm on 1st January, two terrorists entered the Dhangri village and, in an alleged act of target killings, killed four persons on the spot (one later died in the hospital) and before leaving the village left an IED that exploded next day in which two minor cousins were killed and several others injured.
Since then the perpetrators of crime are still at large and the terror victim families have been demanding action against the terrorists involved/ against those who supported them.
They also demanded action against the officers/officials, who after terror the attack visited Upper Dhangri village, & met with families of the killed & people, but failed to sensitise the houses that lead to IED blast.
Members of terror victim families–including Saroj Bala (lost 2 sons); Neeta Devi (lost husband and father-in-law); Sat Pal (lost son); Sushil Kumar (lost 4 year old son); Koushal Kumar (lost 15-year-old daughter), and Sarpanch Dheeraj Kumar on Monday briefed the media about their future action and resentment.
Family members and Sarpanch in one voice expressed their concern over the recent statement of DGP, Dilbag Singh in which, while talking to media at Kathua, he said, “The twin attacks on civilians in Dhangri of Rajouri district in the UT early this year were orchestrated by infiltrators from Pakistan,”.
“How is it that”? Saroj Bala raised a question mark. “The attackers killed our people after checking Identity cards. About 20 rounds were fired on my son. Terrorists would fire a few shots (1-2 shots) to kill a person” she said.
Saroj Bala is the only survivor in the family.
“We agree with DGP statement. Then the police must know who had helped them to infiltrate/ex-filtrate. The police should tell the families about action against those involved in helping the terrorists so that we can be satisfied” said Sushil Kumar.
He added, our only demand is justice and it seems that the police is still clueless and talking in the air and need more time.
The family members also alleged that in order to escape responsibility, the Administration transferred the SSP and SHO.
Sarpanch Dheeraj Kumar and family members demanded to withdraw orders of transfer of SSP & SHO alleging that the probe in the matter is already delayed (more than 80 days) and will further be delayed after new officers take the charge and start an investigation
“We don’t need ex-gratia; we don’t need jobs and other help of the administration. We need justice. The administration should take stringent action against the killers and their supporters. Even after 90 days of gruesome terror attack, there is no visible action in this case,” said members of terror victim families and Sarpanch.
Saroj Bala, Sat Pal, Sarpanch Dheeraj Kumar, and others while expressing their resentment, threatened to leave the Dhangri village (entire population) to a safer place after returning ex-gratia (sought bank account number for return of money), VDC weapons, and jobs offered etc.
“If the government can’t provide justice to them (her, as she lost her two sons Deepak & Prince), it shoots me dead too,” said Saroj Bala.
Seven persons, including two minors, were killed in the twin terror attacks and 14 others were injured, few among them have lost limbs.
