Illegal felling green-gold-Khair at Thandi Choi is a well planned conspiracy, crime

It is not by mistake but big scam!

• The Conservator of Forest, Jammu East Circle is very anxious to expose the scam of illegal felling of Khair at Thandi Choi and would act tough against criminals.
•  The issue is not just a simple, whereas it is very complicated as the officers responsible for the illegal felling are trying to erase the evidences.

Jammu, Mar 24: How is it possible that a forest guard along with a block officer can execute such a big fraud? Who is big fish behind this one of the biggest forest scam? Why is the administrative department of Forest Department silent over the big scam? Why is the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu & Kashmir silent over the issue? Is it possible that without the knowledge of concerned DFO such a big scam be executed? These are some pricking questions irritating in the mind of people and should be answered by the senior officers of the Forest department.
The intriguing part of the this story that the large scale of felling of Khair trees and other trees from Forest land is not a just mis-happening but it seems that it was well thought plan and engineered by some responsible officers and others who are in charge at the high level. It is not a simple incident but it is well planned crime wreaked by some senior officers and those officers must be exposed and booked under stringent laws of the land.
The illegal felling of Khair trees and other trees are not new but in past too senior officers of forest department were turned out to be responsible. In this case also it is being allegedly guessed that Range Officer Kalidhar and DFO Jammu are also responsible and accountable for the same.
It is pertinent to mention that the Enquiry Committee was constituted on 2nd March 2023 and was instructed to submit its report within 3 days but 23 days have been lapsed and you can say that 20 days excess have passed as then the defined period that committee is yet to file its report, which clearly indicates the seriousness of the members or department.
The most astonishing part of this episode that the concerned DFO had never bothered to visit the spot to have the on spot situation of illegal felling and was relying on the accused range officer’s reports, but presently now DFO Jammu has been directed by Conservator of Forest Jammu East Circle B Mohandass to visit Thandi Choi and check the ground position.
A senior forest official has confirmed that marking of Khair Trees in Forest land was also done in the Thandi Choi. He confirmed that till now two such files have been identified which is a big blunder by concerning forest officials which cannot be ignored. This may lead to expose many forest officers and can cause great problem for the concerned forest staff because it is a serious blunder.
The B Mohan Dass Conservator of Forest Jammu East clearly said that no one would be spared in this case and till the enquiry completed and the responsibility would be fixed no one will be transferred for having escape. He further said that he would act strictly on the basis of documentation and factual position.
