Jammu, Mar 10: Youth Against Corruption strongly alleges that the government and Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) both are trying their best to hide their faults and wrong doings in the recruitment process as both have decided to get the mandatory exams conducted from a tainted company i.e. Aptech.
Addressing the Press Conference Vinkal Sharma and others revealed that Aptech was a black listed firm and also fined for its malpracticesm besides recently the said company found involved in many states and Ladakh Union Territory. He said that JKSSB is turning blind eyes towards recent paper leaks done by Aptech. Quoting about recently held KVS PRT, TGT, PGT and CTET Exams in January and February this year Vinkal said that all these were crucial exams conducted by Aptech which were leaked in more than half a dozen states and Ladakh UT. He said recently the Aptech employee was arrested in Varanasi under FIR No 91 of 2023 in Shivpur Police Station and one of its supervisors was arrested in Leh both have been arrested for leaking of papers meant for exams (FIR No 25 of 2023 in Police Station Leh). He said in every state where paper leak was reported it was found that software of Aptech was compromised. He said that all these things were presented before the Chairman JKSSB in written format but he ignored all these. He alleged that JKSSB is compelling youth to appear in exams to be conducted by the tainted company which is totally unacceptable.
While addressing the media fraternity Atul Sudan another aspirant lashed on LG Administration and JKSSB authorities for suppressing the voice of genuine aspirants against corruption in recruitments. Responding strongly to the statements given by the JKSSB Chairman in the media, Atul Sudan said that it is very strange that JKSSB instead of going for introspection, he is questioning credentials of aspirants. He said that the Chairman should answer how and why tender conditions were modified to make easy entry for a blacklisted firm. He said that the Chairman is saying that the exam is conducted by JKSSB whereas that company is only assisting them but the truth is from issuing admit cards to setting question papers, managing exam centers, conducting exams and then preparing results everything is done by that private company. He further questioned JKSSB authorities that they are saying that the company was blacklisted in the past and they are saying that they are unaware about what has happened in Leh regarding Aptech. Atul Sudan questions the integrity of JKSSB officials and LG Administration, why they are turning blind eyes regarding recent FIRs registered on Aptech employees for compromising the fairness, transparency and security of the crucial papers. He said JKSSB officials presented white lies in front of some of their favourite media houses as a few days ago on 3rd March we have given everything in writing to JKSSB about recent malpractices done by Aptech and today they are saying we are unaware. He said that all claims of maintaining transparency are on papers only as till now they are unaware about the various technical flaws and they never want to learn about that because of Aptech where it conducted exams and got leaked as it was found that their software was compromised. He offered an open debate in the media in the presence of IT experts about the flaws and malpractices of this company. He further said that we are giving one day ultimatum to LG Administration to address our four demands otherwise this agitation will be intensified. The four demands included 1. Roll back Exam Calendar issued by JKSSB to be conducted by Aptech; 2. Technical Investigation into all exams conducted by Aptech; 3. Public/Government Recruitment should be conducted by the Government body and the role of private players should be ended; and 4. A strict law against paper leak in JKUT.
