A delegation of families of Dhangri/Phalyana victim’s lead by BJP leaders met DC &SSP

Rajouri, Mar 9: A delegation of families and relatives of Dhangri and Phalyana massacre victims’ headed by BJP District President, Dinesh Sharma & other senior leaders met Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal and SSP, Mohd Aslam (in DC’s chamber) and appraised them about their grievances.
In twin terror attacks, 7 people were killed in Dhangri village on January 1& 2 while on December 16, terrorists killed two innocent civilians while a resident of Uttrakhand state was seriously injured near the Army hospital at Phalyana (Rajouri).
In these three terror incidents, 15 people were injured including a few critically who may face permanent disabilities due to bullet injuries.
Family members and relatives; including Saroj Bala, who lost her two sons and is the only survivor in the family, besides their grievances also expressed their resentment over no action to date against the terrorists involved in the crimes and those who helped them.
They alleged that even after 68 days of Dhangri massacre, the attackers are still at large and even no action has been taken against those who (OGWs) helped the terrorists.
They also showed concern over Administration’s failure to install CCTV cameras as was earlier promised.
Family members/relatives of the victims and prominent villagers of the area also demanded security reviews of the area at regular intervals.
They also demanded government jobs for those who have suffered permanent disabilities in the terror attacks due to severe bullet injuries.
Family members of two persons killed in Phalyana shootout on December 16 , have also expressed their concern for not getting orders for government jobs to date as was promised by the UT administration.
The DC, Vikas Kundal assure the delegation to meet the demands, raised during the meeting, as soon as possible while SSP, Mohd Aslam was optimistic that soon the Dhangri attackers will be neutralised.
Prominent present in the delegation included Rajinder Gupta, Bharat Bhusan Vaid, Ranjit Tara, Koushal Gupta, Raja Ratan Singh (all BJP leaders); Som Raj Sharma, ex- Tehsildar; Khem Raj, ex-sarpanch; Om Parkash, sarpanch; Kundan Sharma, Anshuman Chopra.
