Jammu Police is in action!

Jammu, Feb 28: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 213 grams of heroin i.e 200 grams of heroin in the jurisdiction of PS Miran Sahib, 08 grams of heroin in the jurisdiction of PS Bishnah and 05 grams of heroin in the jurisdiction of PS Kanachak.
A police team of PS Miran Sahib constituted under the supervision of SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta and led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh assisted by SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq while on naka duty at Village Chak Alawal, Miran Sahib rounded up two suspects namely Sharad Khajuria son of Harish Khajuria R/o Roop Nagar Jammu and Kanav Gupta son of Dharamveer Gupta R/o lane No 02 New plot Jammu who were coming on a vehicle without Regd No JK02CN-7902. During search, 200 grams of heroin got recovered from their possession.
In this regard, case FIR No 53/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act got registered at PS Miran Sahib and accused got arrested.
Similarly police team of PS Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh assisted by SHO PS Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma while on naka duty at Laswara Bishnah rounded up a suspect namely Farooq Ali S/O Salam Din R/O Swanka Morh A/P Laswara, Bishnah District Jammu who was coming on a vehicle without Regd No. During search, 08 grams of heroin got recovered from his possession.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 55/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act got registered at PS Bishnah and accused got arrested.
Whereas, police teams of PS Kahnachak led by SDPO Domana Sunil Singh assisted by SHO PS Kanachak Inspector Rahul Mahajan while on naka duty rounded up three suspects namely 1) Sushil Kumar S/O Ashok Kumar R/O Thathi; 2) Gulshan Kumar S/O Lt Ashok Kumar R/O Kote; and 3) Avinash Kumar S/O Vakil Chand R/O Kote Jammu who were coming on a vehicle bearing Registration No JKO2BC 9588. During search, 05 grams of heroin i.e 01 gram from accused namely Sushil Kumar and 02 grams each from Gulshan Kumar and Avinash Kumar recovered from their possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 20/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act got registered at PS Kahnachak and accused got arrested.
Further investigation in the said case is going on to ascertain more facts.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
