Still there are more such candidates!
- The responsibility of Director School Education Jammu Dr RS Sharma does not end here in this regard as per the allegedly reports there are more candidates working in Jammu district too especially RS Pura, Satwari and Akhnoor zones who got job under RET and even managed regularization on the basis of degrees of un-recognized Universities that too outside of J&K.
- The government must constitute a committee to minutely check the degrees of higher qualifications especially obtained from the Universities outside of J&K to maintain the land of law.
- Â Mr Lt Governor is watching such heinous scandal in School Education Department and will surely wreak a surgical strike and weed out all such candidates who are having degrees from un-recognized universities, out of J&K.

Jammu, Feb 26: The Directorate of School Education, Jammu vide his office order No. DSEJ/RET/5361-71 dt 23/2/2023 terminated the services of 23 Rehabar-e-Taleem (RET) teachers of Jammu Division for submitting qualification certificates acquired from un-recognised boards.
Out of 23 Rehabar-e-Taleem teachers whose services are terminated 15 belong to the Rajouri district and all belong to the Kotranka sub-division of the district.
According to the termination order issued by Director School Education (DSE), Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma, JKAS, all the fifteen RET teachers from Rajouri district have acquired their qualification from Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad in Uttar Pradesh, which has not been granted equivalence (recognised) by the J&K Board of School Education, Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the months of June and August in 2022 vide two orders the Director School Education constituted a committee to review the pending regularisation cases of RET teachers.
During its meeting on 7 February 2023, the committee members observed that 23 teachers appointed under Rehabar-e-Taleem scheme in Jammu, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, and Rajouri districts (Jammu Division) have acquired their qualification from un-recognised boards.
“The committee members in a meeting held on 7-2-2023 observed that 23 RETs of different districts of Jammu division have acquired their qualification from the boards which have not been granted equivalence by the J&K Board of School Education, Jammu communicated vide No.F(Acad-C) Recg-equ/21 Dt 5/7/2021 as these boards have not been recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India” the Director termination order read.
The committee has recommended the termination of services of these 23 RETs immediately as they don’t possess the requisite qualification certificates.
“Therefore in view of the recommendations of the committee you (CEO of Jammu/Reasi/Kishtwar/Doda/Rajouri) are directed to discharge the services of these 23 RETs as per Annexure-A immediately under intimation to this office” read Director, SED order.
Out of 15 RET teachers terminated in Rajouri district, 12 belong to Khawas and 3 belong to Koteranka.
There are allegedly reports that some of them have managed job under RET and then regularization of their services from RET to general teacher by producing the higher qualification certificates from un-recognized Universities out from the J&K, but they managed and department reduced to a mute spectator. The allegedly reports further said that in Jammu district especially of RS Pura, Satwari and Akhnoor zones the some persons have managed job the then under RET and then regularization on the basis of degrees of higher qualification acquired from the un-recognized universities that too from outside the J&K, so it is mandatory for the Director School Education, Jammu to re-verify the documents of such teachers who have acquired the higher qualification from the universities outside the J&K to save the future of Jammu students.
The Lt Governor must constitute a committee to detect such cases those who have got job as RET and later managed regularization by producing degrees of higher qualifications from outside of J&K and that too from un-regularized and not under the purview of UGC, besides those are self-style Universities.
