Rajouri, Feb 26: Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH&GMC) Rajouri is in 3rd position among the top five performing Associated Hospitals of government Medical Colleges of Union Territory of J&K.
The ranking has been evaluated by the State Health Society for implementing e-sahaj– Electronic System for Automation of Hospital Administration—under the Health Management Information System (HMIS).
Jammu Psychiatric Diseases Hospital, Jammu, and Chest Diseases Hospital, Jammu are in 1st & 2nd position respectively.
Associated Hospital GMC Rajouri is the first health facility in JK UT to implement HMIS in diagnostic services.
Associated Hospital of GMC Rajouri has implemented e-sahaj (Electronic System for Automation of Hospital Administration) under Health Management Information System (HMIS) in the Department of Pathology with the technical support of Techjivaa India Pvt. Ltd., a software company under the direct monitoring and supervision of National Health Mission, J&K.
It will also be implemented shortly in the rest of the diagnostic services of the hospital.
“The service has already been implemented in registration, OPD and pharmacy of the hospital and after its application in diagnostics services, the investigation detail of patients will easily be accessible for treating doctors,” said Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent, AH&GMC.
HMIS is one of the major reforms in the health sector and it will significantly improve the standards of health care service here and make it more accountable and transparent, he added.
