Govt withdraws resignation of Doctor: allow to re-join with the warning not to leave station unauthorisedly

Jammu, Feb 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has given an opportunity to a doctor who sought withdrawal of the resignation he had tendered more than six months ago, with a warning not to leave his place of posting unauthorisedly.
According to Government order no. 171-JK (HME) of 2023, dated 23/02/2023 resignation in respect of Dr. Abiranjan Singh, Medical officer has been withdrawn.
“Dr. Abiranan Singh was appointed as a Medical officer in the Health Services Department vide Government Order No.938-JK(HME) of 2020 dated 31/12/2020 and posted at PHC Changa (Block Gandoh) District Doda. He tendered his resignation from the post of Medical Officer w.e.f. 08.09.2022 before the concerned DDO which was duly forwarded by the Chief Medical Officer, Doda to the Director, Health Services, Jammu vide letter No.CMO/D/2048 dated 03.09.2022”, official documents available with this correspondent read.
“The issue was under process in the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu when the said doctor submitted his application on 05.12.2022 for withdrawal of resignation and showed his willingness to rejoin the duties 23/02/2023”, the order further read.
“The case was examined in the Department and it was deemed appropriate to consider the withdrawal of resignation & resumption of duties in respect of the aforesaid doctor in consultation with the Chairman, Departmental Designated Committee as there is a dire need for doctors in the far-flung area of Gandoh, Doda”, the order further read, adding that the Health and Medical Education Department while taking a considerate view in the matter in consultation with the Director Finance, Health & Medical Education Department (Chairman of the Department Designated Committee) & in the interest of patient care, accords sanction to the withdrawal of the resignation submitted by the Medical officer
“The officer has been allowed to rejoin the Health Services Department with immediate effect while treating the intervening period w.ef.08.09.2022 up to the date of his re-joining as dies-non. It will be further subject to the condition that the said doctor was not involved in any subversive activities and he was not employed in any Government/Private Sector and also no departmental inquiry, whatsoever, is pending against him for which an affidavit duly authenticated by the First las Judicial Magistrate shall be obtained by the Director, Health Service, Jammu from the concerned doctor”, the order added.
