Jammu, Feb 22: While appreciating the performance of Jammu & Kashmir Police, the president of Citizen’s Welfare and Development Council, Jammu province RK Sharma said that Police persons are working devotedly and dedicatedly under the dynamic control of DGP Dilbagh Singh IPS, fighting militancy and working to curb menace of drugs, narcotics, smuggling of arms & ammunition and maintaining law & order in the whole J&K Union Territory.
While speaking on the felicitating ceremony, the president revealed that on 20-01-2023, twin IED blasts rocked Transport Nagar Narwal, Jammu wherein several people sustained injuries. The police came into action by forming a team of dedicated police personnel headed by Chandan Kholi, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu District under whose dynamic leadership the police team comprising of Mamta Sharma SP City South, Jammu, Syed Zaheer Abas Zafri, SDPO City East Jammu, Sachit Sharma SDPO City South, Jammu, Sameer Jeelani SHO Police Station Satwari Jammu, Pankaj Sharma SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Nayat Ali SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu, Lalit Sharma Police Post Narwal Jammu, PSI Bhawani Singh Police Post Sanik Colony Jammu, PSI Sunil Singh of Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu, PSI Balbir Singh Police Post Digiana Jammu, PSI Harish Chander Police Post Greater Kailash Jammu, PSI Chain Kumar Sharma BPP Kullian then Police Station Gandhi Nagar, PSO Sahil Sharma of Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
He said that the police team worked hard, devotedly and within short span of time of 10 days the team succeeded in recovery of an live IED as well as terrorist responsible for the heinous crime namely Mohd Auraf Sheikh S/o Ghulam Din Sheikh R/O Bharansal Pagihalla Gulabgarh District Reasi.
The Citizen’s Welfare And Development Council Jammu province also highly appreciates Mukesh Singh Ji, IPS Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone and Vijay Kumar, IPS Addl. Director General of Police, Kashmir Zone for their devotion to duties and their administrative skills to ensure pace to the general masses of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by the efforts of the police personnel in curbing militancy, fighting militants and eradicating menace of smugglings of narcotics, arms and ammunition to provide a sustainable peace in the region.
Raj Kumar Sharma president Citizens Welfare and Development Council accorded appreciations to the team of police personnel, who were part and parcel of assigned investigations of twin blasts that rocked Transport Nagar, Narwal, Jammu, who with their efforts managed to achieve the success by recovering a live IED, besides the accused terrorist namely Mohd Auraf sheikh S/O Gulam Din Sheikh R/O Bharansal Pagihalla Gulabgarh District Reasi.
He prayed almighty to bless the Indian forces including military, Para military and Police with long life, peace and prosperity of the nation. The Citizens Welfare and Development Council assures its full support to the police department in curbing the militancy and other smugglings. As and when the services of The Citizens Welfare and Development Council are required by the Police, we shall feel it our pride.
