Director SDD acts tough against HA Abdul Hameed Bhat for doubtful official conduct

Jammu, Feb 13: Taking a serious note of the news item published in the daily Jammu Jottings on Feb. 08, 2023, under heading, “CBI arrests JKTDC official, Polytechnic Lecturer accepting Rs 2.3 lakh bribe,” who were caught red-handed at a hotel in Jammu and appearing the name of one Abdul Hameed Bhat, Head Assistant at purchase section in the Directorate of Skill Development along with them in the news paper, for having a close tie-up with the arrested officers.
It is pertinent to mention that the arrested Accounts Officer Sajjad Ahmed KAS was posted there in the Directorate of Skill Development for two and a half years in the recent past and Polytechnic Lecturer Shokat Ali being an employee of the same department, working under the same Directorate came very close to each other and they engineered a programme to earn money by any mean. Even the Accounts Officer Sajjad Ahmed KAS has got transferred from the Skill Development Department to Tourism Department but their friendship remained in contact as both were having same mission and that was to earn money by corruption. Whereas, at the same time being a supplier to the department the lecturer Shokat Ali developed intimacy and nearness with Abdul Hameed Bhat as he being only ministerial staff member without any junior or senior to him posted there for pretty a long time in the purchase section. One is Account officer, another is supplier besides being lecturer in polytechnic Jammu and third is independent official in the purchase section so the trio came very close to each other with a solid common minimum programme to loot the money by corrupt practices.
Under order No. 82 of 2023, dated: 13-02-2023 under endorsement No A/211/ 2021-01-DSD-cc-85347/1322-1324, the Director SDD today deployed the said Head Assistant at SDD Mission as a preventive measure to cleanse the said office of the doubtful and shady-conduct officials. “The official is deemed to have been relieved,” the order reads. Jammu Jottings has pledged to fight against Corruption on a missionary mode. Cooperation of the readers is highly solicited.
The order read as ‘In the interest of administration, Shri Abdul Hamed Bhat, Head Assistant, Directorate of Skill Development, J&K is deployed in J&K Skill Development Mission with immediate effect. However his salary shall be drawn at Directorate of Skill Development J&K on production of monthly attendance.’
