Jammu, Feb 10: Acting on an information received by PS Miran Sahib through reliable sources regarding a person namely Sunil Kumar S/O Yashpal R/O Darsopur who was selling LPG Cylinders to the locals of village Darsopur without permission from competent authorities on higher rates and was also indulged in illegal refilling of gas cylinders in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Miran Sahib.
On this special police teams of PS Miran Sahib led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh assisted by SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq did strenuous efforts and raided at the suspected location and arrested the person namely Sunil Kumar S/O Yashpal R/O Darsopur Tehsil R S Pura District Jammu alongwith 01 electronic weighing machine, 01 pump used for refilling of LPG gas, 25 No’s of empty commercial LPG cylinder’s, LPG gas, 04 No’s of empty domestic LPG cylinder’s and LPG gas, 01 No of partially filled LPG cylinder. Whereas in this case further investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, another information was received at PS Miran Sahib regarding a notorious drug peddler cum history sheeter namely Sanjeev Kumar @ Chottu S/o Gulzari Lal R/o Bansultan A/p Gazian.
Taking the matter very seriously On this a special police team of PS Miran Sahib under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh was constituted. The team led by SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq reached on the suspected place and arrested the above said drug peddler.
It is pertinent to mention that detention warrant under Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic substances (PIT NDPS) Act 1998 was issued against him by Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Finally today in compliance to the directions by Divisional Commissioner Jammu under Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1988 (PITNDPS) detention warrant was executed and the said accused was shifted to District Jail Amphalla Jammu after completion of all legal formalities.
