Jammu, Feb 08: The junior assistant posted in one of the DMO office of Jammu division is busy ion collecting notes of bribes with both hands. He is super corrupt man as he least bothers for his senior officers. But the concerned district administration is not paying attention to his corrupt practices, which encourages him and he openly engaged in getting illegal works done. Apart from earning thousands of rupees per day, a motorist deposits the amount every month. A complaint was also filed against him before the ACB, despite that no action has been taken against him. This district is connected with another state and in that state there is complete ban on the mining. This single junior assistant is running the mining industry of the entire district on his own terms and conditions. If no one gives him bribe, then he stopped his work and causes loss of lakhs of rupees every month. He gets the challan approved within no time of those persons who are very close to him and the others have to wait very long.
According to the information, this junior assistant has been posted in the DMO office for a long time and he is the native of same district. He has also built a house in Jammu district. This junior assistant openly harasses the businessmen and busy in mining work these days. He has created a network and associated with the transporters. He has directed the crushers of the district that his own transporters should be kept for work. If someone does not do this, then he causes financial harm him. Moreover, he gets free stones, sand and other material free from them. The weak point of the administration is that only one junior assistant has been kept in the DMO office to approve the e-challan and for this he is taking full advantage of this. There are about forty crushers in this district from whom he charges Rs 20,000 per month as bribe.
However, in other districts, there are two to four employees to approve the online challan. But in this district only one employee has been posted. The management of the entire mining is in his hands and engaged in earning big everyday by working on his own will.
